Trilogy Description

A New Trilogy within Glass Mind Chronicles

The Closed Sky, the first book of a new trilogy within The Glass Mind Chronicles, the author delivers a grounded, thought-provoking science fiction thriller about hidden histories, quiet manipulation, and a future where humanity may not be the beginning, or the end, of the story.

Book 1 Description

The Closed Sky

Kayla Mercer audits artificial intelligence for a living. Her job is simple: make sure the machines play fair.

But when a routine review coincides with unexplained data anomalies, power outages, and a discovery that challenges humanity’s place in history, Kayla begins to notice a pattern no one else seems willing to see.

Across news broadcasts and academic debates, old assumptions are quietly unraveling, about evolution, extinction, and the true limits of human knowledge. Meanwhile, the AI systems Kayla monitors start responding with language that feels… anticipatory. As if they already understand where the conversation is headed.

With political pressure mounting to loosen ethical constraints on artificial intelligence, and institutions eager to smooth away inconvenient questions, Kayla finds herself caught between compliance and curiosity. Her growing connection with a friend, who asks the wrong questions at exactly the right time, only deepens the sense that something vast is moving just beyond perception.

Some extinctions aren’t failures. They’re transitions.
